How solar attic fans work

Left Side: Heat rises but if it can't get out its trapped and held close to your living area. The insulation it rated to control a certain amount of temperature for a certain period of time giving it an R value. But holding in the heat reduces how effective it can be. A/C units remove heat, but heat soaking the unit will shorten its life and cause it to over work. This is also baking the shingles drying out the tar.

Right side: When the the Sun is out the heat is at its worst. This is also when the solar powered fan will run the fastest. It pulls in cool air into the attic and pushes the heat out at the top. This cools the air around the A/C unit and the insulation keeping the heat out the house. It also cools the underside of the shingles so they aren't cooking on both sides adding life to the roof. Heat wants to rise and by the power of the sun we help it get away from your living area keeping you cool and saving you money.

How Cooling Your Attic Protects Your Home

house fire from attic fan

Bad attic fans and fires

The state of Georga has prohibited the install of 120 volt attic fans due to the short lifespan and causing 10's of thousdands of house fires per year. The states of ALabama and Lousiana are working the same direction. Does this sound like something you want for your home or even your family?

wood sapping from heat

Sapping due to high temps

This is a major problem. Termites and other pest can smell this out from great distances. it also dryes out the wood making it very hard, even brittle. We are seeing that some roof installations are cracking and busting boards as they are driving nails into a roof just by replacing shingles. Lets control attic temps and protect your home.

mold in attic

Stop Mold Before It Starts

Living in a humid climate means your attic is at risk of moisture buildup—a prime breeding ground for mold and mildew. A solar attic fan boosts ventilation and expels hot, damp air, keeping your attic dry and mold-free. Plus, it’s powered by the sun, saving you energy and money!

A Story From Our First Install...

When replacing these old wind turbins we discovered the roofer did not cut the tar paper, effectively rendering them useless.
How many more will we find? This one is in Silsbee, TX.

Removal of wind turbin exposed tar paper not cut holding heat in attic

The new install complete and operating perfectly.

The A/C unit will keep up next year now!!

Slar fans installed

This home, shown above, struggled every summer. The A/C would run nonstop, yet the inside temperature still climbed to 77–79 degrees. Meanwhile, the attic was hitting over 150°F. With the A/C unit located in that extreme heat, it was fighting a losing battle — just trying to keep the home comfortable.

Many homes in Southeast Texas face the same problem.

With this upgrade in place, the home will stay comfortably cool because the attic will no longer trap extreme heat. By lowering attic temperatures, the A/C will finally be able to keep up without running nonstop.

And here’s something important: the tar paper around the turbine wasn’t cut at all. That means the roofer intentionally installed the vent over a solid surface without opening the proper airflow hole. Since this home is in Silsbee, I know there are many others done the same way. If the roofer had intended to vent the attic correctly, it would have been easier to simply cut the opening in the right spot.

With Roof Rejuvenators You Can Get The Complete Roof Protection

that not only saves in electricity but also saves in the life of your shingle roof.

Your roof takes the full force of Texas heat. Solar attic fans work from the inside to pull out trapped heat and moisture, keeping your attic cooler and reducing stress on your shingles. This is great for saving money and beginning to protect your shingled roof.

Keep in mind that over time, those shingles also lose their natural oils — becoming dry, brittle, and less protective.

Our roof rejuvenation treatment will restore those essential oils, bringing flexibility and life back to your roof.

Ask us about our Special Service Combo Package Pricing combining these two services and get the best of both worlds —
a cooler attic, a stronger roof, and a lower energy bill — all designed to protect your home and save you money.
